What we collect and why

Who we share it with
Only the service providers who help us run things:
- Shopify: our online shop, checkout and order records (card payments via Shopify Payments)
- PayPal: payments, if you choose to pay with PayPal
- Seal Subscriptions: a Shopify app that manages the monthly membership subscription, renewal reminders and cancellations
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and forwards email sent to hello@pendulummethod.com
- Discord: hosts the members' community
- Microsoft (Outlook/Hotmail): our email inbox, where your messages to us are received and answered
Each provider also has its own privacy notice. We never sell your data.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Details of the safeguards each provider uses are set out in its own privacy notice.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, for tax and accounting purposes. We keep membership details while you are a member and delete them within a reasonable time after it ends, unless we need them for records. We keep emails only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
Cookies
This site itself sets no cookies. Third-party tools may: when you click through to our shop, Shopify sets its own cookies (for example to run the cart and checkout), and Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies. Non-essential cookies must only be set after you agree, so a cookie banner is needed if you add them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact hello@pendulummethod.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
